Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative
Baylor University moved into the facility previously owned and operated by The General Tire and Rubber Company, which supplied tires during and after World War II. To house the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC), the site required significant asbestos abatement, surface mitigation, and cleaning and recoating. Precision Iceblast Corporation (PIC) utilized a variety of methods to clean and prepare each surface, including the use of precision dry ice blasting. Once prepared new coatings were applied throughout the campus. The project took four months and utilized eight blasting units, two 1600 CFM compressors, four paint sprayers, and 12 crew members per shift.
